Removalists on the Central Coast

Two movers and a truck cost $160 per hour plus GST on the Central Coast, with a two-hour minimum — the same rates we charge anywhere. Our office is in Bondi, so the only thing that changes on a job this far out is how much of the drive is billable.

What does a Central Coast move cost?

Two movers and a 20m³ truck cost $160 per hour plus GST with a two-hour minimum, and the travel beyond the included 30 minutes each way is billed at the same rate.

  • Minimum charge is 2 hours Monday to Saturday, and 3 hours on Sundays.
  • The first 30 minutes of driving each way is on us. Beyond that only the extra is charged — a 45-minute drive bills 15 minutes, and the same applies coming back to the Bondi office.
  • Sundays carry a 25% surcharge on labour — removals, packing and cleaning. Packing material kits are the same price every day.

What the rate includes

  • The truck and fuel
  • Two professional movers
  • Trolleys, straps and protective blankets
  • Loading and unloading
  • Disassembly and reassembly of standard furniture

The distance is the only difference

A Central Coast job is a normal booking on a normal day — the difference is that more of the drive falls outside the travel we absorb.

The rule is the same everywhere we work: the first 30 minutes of driving each way is on us, and beyond that only the excess is charged, at the same hourly rate as the move. In the Eastern Suburbs that usually means the whole trip is covered. On the Central Coast it does not, and the honest thing is to say so up front rather than let it appear on the invoice.

What that buys you is a figure you can check. There is no flat call-out fee, no separate distance charge and no zone table — just the drive, billed as the time it actually takes, in both directions.

Everything else is unchanged. Same crew, same trucks, same two-hour minimum, same 25% Sunday surcharge on labour. Heavy or awkward items are handled by adding movers rather than by excluding them, and there is no list of things we will not take.

Every job here is sized individually

We ask what you are moving and what the access is like rather than quoting off a rule of thumb, the same way we do everywhere else.

What you are moving, what floor it is on, whether there is a lift and how close the truck can get decide the truck size and the crew. On a longer run they also decide how much the drive costs you, because a job that takes six hours instead of four is a job the truck is away from Bondi for longer.

So the few minutes on the phone are worth more here than on a local job. Tell us both addresses and roughly what is in the house and we will give you a rate and a realistic estimate of the hours, travel included, rather than a number we have to pad to be safe.

Which suburbs do you cover?

Gosford, Terrigal, Erina, Wyong and the surrounding coast, from our office in Bondi.

Moving from the Central Coast down into Sydney is the same job in reverse and just as common. If you are landing in the Eastern Suburbs or on the Northern Beaches, that half of the job is home ground for us.

Going further than the coast? Interstate moves are quoted per job rather than by the hour, because at that range the drive dominates the cost. Full detail is on the interstate removals page.

Common questions

Do you service the Central Coast?

Yes, and it is booked exactly like any other move — the same crew, the same trucks and the same hourly rates. The only difference is distance: our office is in Bondi, so a Central Coast job carries more billable travel than a job inside Sydney.

How much does a Central Coast move cost?

Two movers and a 20m³ truck are $160 per hour plus GST, a 30m³ truck is $180 and a 40m³ truck is $200, all with a two-hour minimum. The first 30 minutes of driving each way is included and only the excess is billed, so on a Central Coast job the travel beyond that window is charged at the same hourly rate.

How is the travel charged on a Central Coast job?

From our Bondi office, at the same hourly rate as the move itself, and only for the time beyond the 30 minutes each way that we absorb. It applies to the return leg the same way. There is no flat call-out fee and no separate distance charge on top — the drive is billed as the time it actually takes.

Is it cheaper if my dates are flexible?

Not on the Central Coast. Flexible dates matter on interstate moves, where a job can share a truck already heading that way, but a Central Coast booking is a normal job on a normal day and is priced by the hours it takes.

Which Central Coast suburbs do you cover?

Gosford, Terrigal, Erina, Wyong and the surrounding coast. We also move in the other direction just as often — a Central Coast to Sydney job is the same booking in reverse.
